Eddie isn’t very convincing with a weapon. He shakes while aiming the printed rifle and flinches when the handgun discharges in the car, more training would have helped. Otherwise, he performs well. The domestic scenes are underwhelming and don’t add much, despite the impressive house and location. In the novel, we learned almost nothing about Carlos. As for Lashana Lynch, her portrayal as an intelligence officer who also operates in the field feels unrealistic, especially given her unfit appearance. It's hard to believe someone juggling an office job could perform fieldwork at such a level without regular and intensive training. Why not separate these roles into distinct characters, a 'Smiley' for intelligence and a 'Bond' for fieldwork—rather than blending them?Also, how does Lynch’s character manage to fire about 150 rounds from an assault rifle in the final scene of episode 5? That said, the story in the first five episodes is engaging, the acting is solid, and the pacing is decent. Overall, it’s an enjoyable series (so far) and worth watching. Leggi tutto

Lo Sciacallo del titolo, il personaggio interpretato da Redmayne, è un sfuggente, solitario e implacabile assassino su commissione. Lo è in particolare per Bianca (Lashana Lynch), la tenace e intelligente agente dell'MI6 impegnata in un'incessante caccia all'uomo in tutta Europa per catturarlo.
