This film was outstanding. The storytelling was masterfully crafted, and the casting choices were perfect. The chemistry between characters and the parallels between those in both timelines were remarkable. The entire movie felt genuine, mixing hope with heartbreak. Each country’s scenes were visually stunning and made you appreciate every location. I loved the inclusion of Japanese culture and seeing an Icelander learn to love and respect a culture different from his own.
Despite hate and fear influencing many decisions, the film beautifully shows how understanding, respect, and learning can lead to greater love, growth, and a fuller sense of self.
