This film is based on the true story of Jordan Belfort, charting his journey from a successful, wealthy stockbroker living in luxury to his downfall involving crime, corruption, and clashes with the federal government.
In my opinion, the movie is absolutely phenomenal, and DiCaprio definitely deserved an Oscar for his performance. He was incredible, and this is easily one of his best roles. But it’s not just him—there are stellar performances all around. Jonah Hill was fantastic, and Margot Robbie was outstanding, especially considering it was her first major role.
I still can’t believe how Martin Scorsese pulled this off. The man’s in his 70s during the creation of this film, yet he directed something so fresh, energetic, and full of life that even younger filmmakers would struggle to match it!!
